Nice to Monaco classic car tour — vintage Citroën Méhari on the French Riviera

Signature · Half day

Nice to Monaco classic car tour

The drive the Riviera was built for — the Grande Corniche from Nice to Monaco, open to the sky, with time to stop wherever the view deserves it.

There are three corniches between Nice and Monaco. The Grande Corniche is the highest and the oldest — Napoleon put it there on the line of the Roman Via Julia Augusta — and it is the one that gives you the whole coast at once: Cap Ferrat below, the sea going out flat and blue to the horizon, Italy somewhere off to the left.

We drive it in an open-top vintage Citroën Méhari. No roof, no schedule, no coach party of forty. Just your group, Fabio at the wheel, and a road that was made for exactly this.

The route

What you'll see

  1. Nice

We collect you anywhere in the city and roll out along the Promenade des Anglais, the Baie des Anges opening up beside you as Nice gives way to the coast road.

  2. Villefranche-sur-Mer

One of the deepest natural harbours in the Mediterranean, ringed by ochre and rose façades. Time for photographs and an espresso on the quay.

  3. Èze Village

A medieval village stacked on a rock 400 metres above the sea. Cobbled lanes, artisan workshops, and a panorama that reaches Corsica on a clear day.

  4. Monaco & Monte-Carlo

Down into the principality past the superyacht harbour, the Casino square and the Grand Prix corners — the glamorous finish to the drive.

Practical details

Every tour is private and built around you, so we quote per party rather than per seat. Message us and we'll come back personally.

Duration
Half day
Group
Private by default — just your party. The Méhari is a small classic, so it suits couples and small groups.
Pickup
We collect you anywhere in Nice and shape the finish around your day.
Languages
Fabio guides in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
Photo stops
We stop wherever the view is worth it. Photographs are the point, not an afterthought.
Good to check
The Méhari is open-top with a high step and little suspension, so it is weather-dependent and not ideal for guests with back or mobility trouble.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the Nice to Monaco tour?

It is a half-day experience. Because the tour is private we can stretch it if you want longer in Èze, or tighten it if you have a dinner reservation in Monaco.

Can we be dropped off in Monaco instead of returning to Nice?

Yes. Plenty of guests finish in Monaco and stay on for the evening. Tell us when you message and we will plan it that way.

Do we stop for photos?

Constantly. Photo stops are the reason the tour exists — Fabio knows the viewpoints most people drive straight past.

Which corniche do you take?

The Grande Corniche, the highest of the three, for the views. We drop down to the coast for Villefranche-sur-Mer on the way.
